Hi, I’m Jillian McFadyen

Owner and lead designer of The Lillie house in Mendham New Jersey. Long before The Lillie House was planted in the spring of 2021, I was following a love for flowers wherever it led me. For over a decade, I've been learning the craft through trial and error, season after season. Incredible mentors like Bob Wollam of Wollam Gardens & Erin Benzakein of Floret have taught me indispensable trade secrets. Their generosity, passion and commitment to sharing knowledge continue to shape the way I grow, design and teach today.

The farm was born out of a labor of love and a desire to share with my community the joy that flowers can bring. I hope to inspire others to discover the beauty and possibility found in growing and enjoying flowers.

Our fields are a reflection of my admiration for my mother's gardens, and the timeless beauty of traditional English country gardens. Nature and the changing seasons are my forever muse, inspiring what I grow and create throughout the year.

I love growing flowers and foliage with rich texture and movement. Creating arrangements that feel natural, spontaneous, abundant and full of life.

The Lillie House began as a modest backyard cutting garden and has since grown into nearly 4 acres of flower production. And we are only just getting started!
